Paula est originaire de Bruxelles, ville cosmopolite européenne. Tout comme la capitale, forte de ses diversités, elle exprime son art au travers de peintures où les couleurs prennent une place primordiale.

Peintre, élève de Charlotte Vondevoghel parfait ses connaissances en dessin en suivant une formation à l'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles . Prédilection de l'artiste pour la nature humaine. Actuellement, travaille aussi bien les portraits, où elle privilégiera le côté psychologique, que des toiles plus abstraites, au sein desquelles Paula Raiglot s'interroge sur la spiritualité, le bien fondé des religions et les comportements humains qui en découlent.
Soulève de grandes questions essentielles, notamment quant à la condition de la Femme, les droits des Humains, l'insertion socio-culturelle. Ces grandes questions sont traitées par l'artiste tantôt avec enthousiasme, tantôt avec chagrin, et sont insérées dans ses oeuvres par le biais de petites phrases, interjections que l'artiste a nommées RAIGLOGRAM .

Auparavant, a réalisé toute une recherche sur le chiffre neuf et la civilisation des Cyclades, qu'elle a exprimé dans une longue série de toiles acryliques, technique qu'elle affectionne. L'art de Paula Raiglot se décline de deux manières différentes, mais complémentaires pour l'artiste : d'une part, une expression figurative où la nature humaine est sondée à travers les regards, les expressions, les positions corporelles ; d'autre part, une expression plus abstraite, permettant peut-être une plus grande liberté dans les questionnements parfois délicats que l'artiste approche.

Paula werd geboren in Brussel, de kosmopolitische Europese hoofdstad, waar ze ook werkt. In haar schilderijen is coloriet zeer belangrijk.
Ze is leerlinge van Charlotte Vindevoghel en volgde onder meer tekenlessen aan de befaamde Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Brussel en heeft vooral belangstelling voor de menselijke natuur.
Zij maakt zowel portretten –waarin zij het psychologische aspect benadrukt- als abstracte schilderwerken –waarin zij nadenkt over spiritualiteit, de waarde van het geloof en de invloed hiervan op het menselijk gedrag-.
Paula besteedt aandacht aan belangrijke essentiële vragen: de leefomstandigheden van de vrouw, de mensenrechten en de socio-culturele inburgering.
De artieste behandelt deze onderwerpen soms met enthousiasme, maar ook soms met verdriet. In haar werk worden thema’s vermeld in korte zinnen die zij RAIGLOGRAM noemt.
Voordien deed zij onderzoek naar het cijfer 9 en de correlatie hiervan met de bevolking van de Cycladen. Dit thema komt aan bod in een hele reeks acryl-schilderijen, een techniek die haar erg ligt.

De kunst van Paula heeft verschillende complementaire gezichten:enerzijds een figuratieve uitdrukking waarin de menselijke natuur in de lichaamshouding, de blik en de expressie belicht wordenanderzijds een meer abstracte uitdrukking met nadruk op de soms delicate vragen die zij stelt

Born in Brussels Cosmopolitan Capital, inspired by the diversity of this city, Paula expresses her art in paintings where colours are essential.
Paula is a painter who also specializes in incorporating drawing and a number of interesting techniques in her quest to express her art to the fullest. Her training includes courses at the well known ACADEMIE DES BEAUX ARTS in Brussels and workshops with the abstract belgian painter Charlotte Vindevoghel.

Her interest in the human psyche led her to also study portrait work. She is still keen to create portraits that pay special attention to the intimate, unique psychological aspects of her subjects.
She is also driven to express herself through abstract work too. It is intriguing to see that her deep interest in spirituality and the influence of religion on mankind, is reflected in many aspects of her work, spotlighting their impact on human behaviour.

Paula frequently reflects with great enthusiasm her and others fundamental questions about life through the subject of her paintings. This includes the various life conditions experienced by women, the world of human rights, as well as socio-cultural integration.
She is not afraid to express pain either in her work. Some of her work is captured in what she calls << RAIGLOGRAM >>, where she will insert short phrases to allude to the subject of the piece.

Other interesting areas of her work are where she carried out studies around the number “9”, as well as the ancient civilization born out of the beautiful group of Greek islands known as the CYCLADES. From these sources of inspiration she created a huge number of acrylic paintings, a technique that she deeply adores.

The art of PAULA RAIGLOT has two different, but complementary main themes. On the one side, a figurative form of expression, which gives her the opportunity to scrutinize and expose human nature, as well as the human body. The other, her more abstract work, which frees her to take more liberties in what represents the sometimes more delicate questioning she, as the artist, needs to express.
